At approximately 2:56PM BRVFC & UPT Fire & Emergency Services (93) were dispatched to Page Lane for a reported pool heater on fire 2 feet from the residences. Chief 99 arrived on scene to find that the fire was contained to the pool heater and extinguished by the homeowner prior to FD arrival. Chief 99 held the response to E93 where they wet down the heater and the surrounding mulch and brush to ensure there were no hot spots. This was good quick thinking by the homeowner to have a fire extinguisher on hand and to take action to prevent a possible bad situation.
