The Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company is recruiting members to be part of our stipend program. Our program is expanding to provide Firefighters on duty from 6 PM to 6 AM 365 days a year. Staffing is currently operating out of the BRVFC Oaks Station in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County. 

The company operates an Engine, Squad, Tower and support units. 

Minimum Training Requirements:

• PA State Firefighter I Certification
• Hazardous Materials Operations for First Responders
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
• Vehicle Rescue Technician
• Water Rescue Awareness
• Current First Aid, CPR, AED
• Infectious Control / Bloodborne Pathogens
• EVOC

The following below are preferred:

• Pump Operaions
• Water Rescue Operations

Stipend members will have access to:

• Private sleeping rooms
• Dayroom and kitchenette
• Wireless Internet
• Access to fitness room
• Training opportunities are provided.
