The officers and members of BRVFC would like to extend our sympathies and deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters of the Philadelphia Fire Department following the death of one of their members in the line of duty.

It was reported earlier this morning the PFD responded to a building fire in the 300 block of W. Indiana Street. Following extinguishment, there was a major collapse of the building that trapped several firefighters and a building inspector. Firefighters immediately began rescue efforts however tragically one PFD firefighter succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Our thoughts and our prayers go out to the family and the department during this difficult time. We also continue to pray for a speedy and full recovery of the injured firefighters and inspector.
