At 06:34 today BRVFC was alerted with UPDFES, Royersford Fire Dept and Collegeville Fire Co. for a vehicle accident involving an overturned tractor trailer on Route 422 westbound in the area of MM 184.1. Units were advised shortly thereafter that the accident was upgraded to a vehicle rescue. Lieutenant 93 arrived, assumed 422 command and reported the highway completely blocked. Command reported a dump truck vs a pickup truck with entrapment in the pick-up. Engine 93 arrived stabilized the vehicle and began extrication. Engine 93 with assistance of Squad 99 (Black Rock) and Rescue 98 (Royersford) worked to remove the trapped driver. Collegeville Fire Co. assisted with establishing a landing zone just west of the accident scene. EMS units from Trappe and Lower Providence assisted at the scene and Police and Fire Police diverted rush hour traffic around the scene. The highway was reopened just after 11:30
