At approximately 1:12PM BRVFC was dispatched for a Water Rescue at Produce Junction on Bridge St. for a report of a capsized kayaker in the Schuylkill River. Squad and Tac 99 both responded and were directed to stage at 99B. ATV 99 responded and checked along the trails by Fitzwater Station. Upon investigating Engine 93 made contact with the kayaker who made it back to land on his own. The kayaker was ok and refused medical attention. Multiple Marine Units from Montgomery County & Chester County responded to assist at this incident.
